Paper Crane Yarns

Paper Crane Yarns was founded as an Indie Dyeing company, inspired by the similarities between the art and mathematics of origami and knitting. Since establishing her dyeing business, Ashley has since opened a brick and mortar location located in central Alabama, and she carries a wonderfully curated selection of other reputable brands and independent artists, as well as her own yarn line and handmade project bags made on location.

The Rare Purl

The Rare Purl

Who knew that a leisurely afternoon trip to a bookstore, along with my love (bordering on obsession) for my dog, would change my life all those years ago.  As I approached the door, there I saw it on the discount rack outside.  ”Posh Pooches…12 knitting patterns for the well-dressed dog”!  And the rest was history.  I’ve always been a creative person, and while I had no idea how to knit, I knew I would learn (if only to ensure that my posh pooch was well dressed) but I fell in love.  I’m an Atlanta native, and the Rare Purl is one of many of my creative endeavors.  Each stitch marker is drawn and hand made by yours truly.

Ryan Yarn Logo

Ryan Yarn

Ryan Yarn was born of a wild knitter’s desire to fill the shelves of his LYS with even more beautiful and squishy yarns. Ryan took up knitting in 2015 and began helping out at local Athens yarn shop Revival Yarns in 2017, where the community fostered his love for indie-dyed yarn. He founded Ryan Yarn in December 2019 and his love for the artistic process of hand-dyeing yarn grows bigger and bigger every time he gets to sling more yarn.

BiddyKnits

BiddyKnits offers small batch indie dyed yarns on a variety of bases—many of which are one of a kind skeins! At our booth you will also find polymer clay stitch markers that can be used for both knitting and crochet.

Garden Of Eden Fibres

Hillary started Garden of Eden Fibres in 2021, just after her daughter’s first birthday. She wanted to explore her passion for all things fibre and science while also showing her daughter, Eden, that it’s important to follow dreams and connect with others via making. After a little over a year selling online only, Hillary began attending markets and festivals to share her craft with the world and now it’s her favorite part of small business ownership. You can look forward to both animal and plant fibres as well as project bags, resin notions, and maybe even sock tube cranking!
